Nick Shultz CFP®, RICP®, ChFC®, CLTC®
Partner and Wealth Management Advisor
Nick began his practice with Northwestern Mutual in 2009. In 2013, Nick qualified for the Lives Leaders’ Summit conference for the first time, which represents the top advisors across the company. Beginning in 2017 and every year since, Nick has qualified for Northwestern Mutual’s Forum as a top producing Advisor in the country and has been recognized as a 5-Star Pathfinder since 2019.
In 2017, Nick also earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional designation, the standard of excellence in the financial services industry. In 2018, he earned the Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP®) designation. Nick also holds the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) and the Certification in Long Term Care (CLTC®) designations. Nick’s practice works primarily with senior executives at Fortune 500 companies, medical professionals, and business owners from around the country, helping with their employee benefits and personal financial planning with risk, wealth, and tax management strategies.
Nick spends time between New England and Florida, where he enjoys time on the water with friends and family – in particular, with his twenty nieces and nephews. Outside of work, Nick is involved with a few charities, primarily Cling: In Memory of Heidi Shultz that he helped found. Samuel Laorenza CFP®, CLU®, RICP®
Partner and Wealth Management Advisor
Sam Laorenza began his career in Financial Planning at Northwestern Mutual in 2009, during which time he set the record as the top producing intern in the history of the Wellesley agency. Through 2010-2011, Sam was the number one new financial representative producer in the eastern region for Northwestern Mutual, and he was honored in New York City at the company's regional meeting for this prestigious achievement. In 2013, Sam qualified for the Lives Leaders’ Summit conference for the first time, which represents the top 5% of advisors across the company. Sam has been recognized in multiple times as a Forum Advisor, which represents the top 3% of company overall production, and has been recognized multiple times as a 4 Star-Pathfinder honoree in celebration of his achievement in comprehensive financial planning.
Like his business partner, Nick, Sam has earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional designation, the standard of excellence in the financial services industry. He also earned the Retirement Income Certified Professional (RICP®), the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®), and the Certification in Long Term Care (CLTC®) designations. Sam works with executives at publicly traded companies as well as with management consultants. In 2022, Sam was named “Advisor of the Year” in the Boston agency, a true testament to his hard work and commitment to his clients and service. His planning works help to optimize employee benefits and personal financial planning with risk, wealth, and tax management strategies.
A UMass Amherst alum, Sam studied Business and Finance and was a four-year participant and a three-year captain on the varsity Track and Field team. He has served on the Advisory Board for the Commonwealth Honors College since 2013. Additionally, Sam has been involved in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program as a mentor since September 2017.
On a personal level, Sam and his wife, Katie, were married in August 2016. They welcomed their daughter, Lucy, in January 2020 and son, Jack, in February 2024. They currently live in Reading, Massachusetts. Outside of the office, they enjoy traveling, concerts, running marathons, and spending time with friends, family, and their dog, Dylan.
Matthew Burckhardt CFP®, CLU®, ChFC®
Associate Wealth Management Advisor
Matt began his career at Northwestern Mutual in 2011 as a college intern. After graduating from Penn State with a degree in finance and international business, he became a financial advisor and ran his own practice for six years. In August of 2018, Matt had the opportunity to join Omni Wealth Management and expand his client base, while helping him live up to the promise of creating and maintaining a concierge level of service. Matt's primary role on the team involves working with clients to reach their financial goals, implementing tactical solutions to achieve those goals, building and growing the team, and helping Sam and Nick leverage time so they can focus on the vision and growth of Omni. Matt holds his MA life, accident and health insurance license, as well as his Series 6, 7, and 63 securities registrations. Matt also holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional (CFP®) designation, along with the CLU® and ChFC® designations. Matt lives in Boston. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Ashley, traveling, snowboarding, and is a blue belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu.
Jake joined Omni in 2022. He began his career in the financial services industry in 2017, after graduating from UMass Amherst with a bachelor’s degree in managerial economics. After nearly five years of growing his own practice, he joined Omni Wealth Management as an advisor to aid in the mission of providing top level service and guidance to all clients.
Jake currently holds his Series 7, Series 66 securities registrations, life, accident and health licenses and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional. He lives in Dennis, MA, where enjoys spending time with his family.
Amber began her career with Omni Wealth Management in 2014 after earning a degree in communications and business administration from the University of New Hampshire. She is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and finds great joy in her work building and growing the firm. Amber holds her MA and NH life, accident and health insurance licenses, as well as her Series 7 & 63 securities registrations. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and friends in her hometown of Portsmouth, NH.
Vincenzo joined Omni as an associate financial representative in 2017, after graduating from Boston University with a degree in Economics. While at BU, Vincenzo was a member of the Undergraduate Economics Association. Vincenzo currently holds his MA Life, Accident & Health Insurance licenses. Vincenzo works closely with Sam to build and analyze our client's financial plans. Vincenzo lives in Gloucester, Massachusetts, and is an avid rower. When he is not on the ocean, he enjoys playing hockey and spending time with his family.
Ashley joined Omni starting as a summer intern in 2017 and began full time in August of 2017, as an Operations Associate. Ashley now manages all insurance underwriting and investment operations. Ashley holds her MA Life, Accident & Health Insurance Licenses, as well as her Series 7 & 63 securities registrations. Ashley graduated with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management at Boston University where she was Vice President of Social Responsibility for her sorority. Before attending BU, Ashley grew up in Boca Raton, Florida with her family. Outside of work, Ashley enjoys spending time with friends and her puppy, Sadie.
Corey Creel MBA, CFP®, ChFC®
Financial Planning Analyst
In June 2019, Corey joined Omni Wealth Management remotely from Nashville, Tennessee after graduating from the University of Kentucky with a bachelor’s degree in finance and master’s degree in business administration. In December 2019, Corey had the opportunity to transfer to Boston and join the team as a Financial Planning Analyst. Corey holds a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Professional designation as well as a Chartered Financial Consultant designation, life accident and health insurance licenses, and Series 7 FINRA registration. Corey manages the investment portfolio and leads the investment strategy at Omni. In 2024, Corey was named one of three "Most Valuable Partners" by his network office in Boston -- a true testament to his skill and diligence on the team. Corey lives in Nashville, TN and enjoys skiing and the beach. He also enjoys football and spending time with family and friends.
Cynthia began her career with Omni in June 2021, after graduating with a degree in Business and Psychology from St. Lawrence University. Cynthia holds her MA Life, Accident & Health Insurance Licenses, as well as her Series 7 and 63. Cynthia’s primary role is assisting in the building and analysis of our client’s financial plans. In her spare time, Cynthia enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Jordin joined Omni Wealth Management in March 2023, transferring from a Financial Representative role within the Northwestern Mutual Boston Network Office. Jordin’s primary role is assisting in the development and analysis of clients' financial plans. Jordin graduated with a bachelor’s degree in social work from Wheelock College and holds her MA life, accident and health insurance licenses. She brings with her over ten years of hospitality management experience, which shines brightly through her care for and service of others in all that she does. Jordin lives in Boston and in her free time enjoys reading, gardening, attending Broadway shows, and all things Disney.
In April 2020, Katina joined Omni Wealth Management as an Executive Assistant after a long career in sales and an interest in pursuing the financial industry. She graduated from Northern Vermont University with a bachelor’s degree in anthropology/sociology and a passion for helping others, while building and maintaining long lasting relationships. Katina’s primary responsibilities include delivering high quality service to potential and existing clients. Additionally, Katina thrives supporting business flow related to calendar management, data management, onboarding support, and communications between the office and clients. Katina lives in Windham, NH with her husband Joe and their children, Hunter and Addison. She enjoys spending time with friends and family, and depending on the season, either skiing in Vermont or hanging out on a nearby lake, where she loves to waterski, swim, and enjoy the sunshine.
Hannah joined Omni in 2022 as an operations associate after graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Education from St. Lawrence University where she was the President and Risk Manager of her sorority. Hannah’s primary responsibilities include calendar and data management, coordinating workflow, and assisting with planning team events. In her spare time, Hannah enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her friends and family.
Hayley began her career with Omni Wealth Management in 2021. After graduating from Texas Tech University with a degree in Nutritional Science she had a 10 year career in the Pharmaceutical Industry. Hayley’s role is Client Relations Manager where her primary responsibilities are ensuring that clients and potential clients have set meetings to handle their financial needs. Hayley enjoys spending time with her pride & joy twin girls, Emery and Parker. Along with her husband, Matt in Dallas, Texas. In their spare time they spend the majority of their time at the lake skiing and wakeboarding.
A native of Boston, Angela has more than 25 years' experience navigating the Boston business landscape. Angela is a strategic and collaborative thought leader generating growth, engaging audiences, and innovating brands. She has an accomplished track record of maintaining high level projects, transforming the client landscape, creating meaningful relationships, and leading teams throughout the digital landscape. Angela was an active board member with the March of Dimes from 2004- 2020. Outside of her work life, Angela is an active member at her children's schools and youth sports. Angela and her husband John live in Milton with their 4 children (Amanda, Kristina, Johnny & Michael) and their Frenchie pups Brody & Sophie.
Chris joined Omni in 2018 and brings with him considerable experience including a track record of strong investment performance, innovative, client-driven investment solutions, and successful new business growth over his more than thirty years in Boston’s investment community. He has the depth and breadth of knowledge to design, implement and manage customized, multi-manager, multi-asset investment solutions on behalf of discerning clients. Chris is a CFA® charter holder and member of the CFA Society Boston where he serves as a mentor to younger members and is actively involved in the society’s financial literacy program. He earned his undergraduate degree from Marquette University and his MBA from Boston University. Chris also holds his MA Life, Accident & Health insurance licenses as well as Series 7, 24, and 63 securities registrations.
